I got a call claiming to be from HMRC, saying legal steps were about to be taken against me unless I rang back immediately. They said it was my final chance to sort things out - though they used the word 'resolvement', which sounded wrong. The lady ended the chat by saying 'Have a blessed day', which honestly seemed totally out of character for HMRC. Clearly a scam, but I can see how it might scare older folks who get calls like this.
