Got a call from someone saying they were from National Business Communications, claiming we were overcharged for our BT line (which we haven’t used for ages). Asked for my name but then called me by a totally different one! Kept going on about Open Reach being our provider and that our current company just bills us for calls. They kept insisting our provider was rubbish and even lying to us! I tried to say we’re tied into a contract but they wouldn’t listen and said they’d just take over anyway. Really pushy, speaking super fast. Blocked the number straight away.

Got a call today from some bloke trying to sell me cheaper broadband and phone line rental. Just like loads of others said about this number, a woman rang and said her name was Emily (yeah right!). She wanted to talk to whoever holds the BT account (which we don't have). She tried to tell me she could lower our line rental bills or something like that. I guess I sounded a bit unsure and she reckoned I must get tons of scam calls. She came across real full of herself and way too confident. Pretty sure it was a scam so I just ended the call.

Got a call from some place named National Business Communications, and honestly the woman on the other end was quite rude and kept pushing hard. She claimed they could lower my BT line rental but I kept saying I wasn't interested. She just kept speaking over me and totally ignored my refusal, so I ended up hanging up. Not sure if it was a scam or what, but it definitely felt iffy. Never trust these cold calls anyway. I've blocked the number now.

This bloke from National Business Communications [#]nbccloud[###]/ rang me pretending to be from British Telecom about my phone bill. Then he goes on to say NBC can offer me a cheaper rate than BT. I asked if they had checked whether my number was on the TPS, and he claimed they'd looked and it wasn't. Strange, because when I got home I checked and it’s definitely REGISTERED. I’ve reported NBC through the TPS site. Why do these firms have to be so dodgy and not follow the rules!

Got a call from a quite rude young bloke asking for someone who handles BT. I told him we’re not with BT, but he reckoned he knew the people in the office by name. When I asked who he was, he snapped back with “National Business.” Then he just kept saying hello over and over when I didn’t answer. Really cheeky guy, so I just ended the call.

I spent a few days working for these lot and quickly saw they’re total frauds! They’re not connected to BT in any legit way and they target elderly folks, pushing their so-called “service” onto people who don’t need it! The firm used to go by True Telecom and got fined multiple times by Ofcom! Then some clever director thought rebranding would hide all that but they carry on with the same dodgy tricks! They’re nasty, bullying people with zero ethics! Trust me, don’t buy anything from them or answer their calls. You’ll only wish you hadn’t!

Someone called saying they were Courtney from Openreach, trying to get me to switch my BT line to them to save money. They went on about loads of numbers and discounts. She was really friendly and convincing, but then asked for my bank details to set up a direct debit. That’s when I clocked it was a scam - no legit company like BT or Openreach would ask for your bank info over the phone like that. I refused and told her I wasn’t interested. She kept pushing and wouldn’t back off, so I just hung up. Proper dodgy scam attempt. Watch out for this number!

Got a call from this number saying they wanted to talk to the BT account holder. They mentioned that because we run a charity, we could get a discounted deal. They gave me a direct number to ring back and the guy said he was with National Business Communications. Doesn’t seem like a scam, since he didn’t push for any info, just told me to ring if interested. Bit dodgy though, as at first he made it seem like he worked for BT, even though that wasn’t really the case.

There was this lady with a very proper English accent, sounded pretty believable at first. She kept asking for the account holder, but I wouldn’t say anything and instead asked what the call was about. She wouldn’t give up easily, kept pushing. After a bit I guessed it was probably a scam and just ended the call.

I got a call from someone claiming I was paying too much for my business broadband and phone, saying they could sort it out with BT to lower my bills. I didn’t catch on quick enough that it might be dodgy, but I ended the call pretty sharpish once I did. I’m gonna ring my actual provider just to be safe and make sure this 'National Business Communications' lot aren’t trying to switch me over without my say so.

Got a call from a woman claiming our business was spending way too much with BT. She said she had our bills and that they teamed up with Open Reach, which supposedly shared all our info with her. When I asked for her company's details, she quickly switched to telling me BT only had one star on Trustpilot, while hers had a perfect five. That was enough for me to just hang up straight away.

I was lying in bed with a nasty headache when the phone wouldn’t stop buzzing non stop. After a good few rings, I figured maybe it was important, so I dragged myself up to pick it up. The moment I answered, the line just went dead. 😤😤 Tried calling back and ended up hearing a recorded message from something called National Business Communications. Not sure what that’s all about. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Just a heads up - if you get calls from these lot, definitely report them to OfCom. The more complaints they get, the better chance they’ll look into what's going on. Seems like they're involved in some dodgy "slamming" stuff - have a look online for OfCom vs OneStream and you’ll get the picture.

Today, I received a rather puzzling phone call from someone purporting to be with BT. She wanted to have a natter about my broadband service, but it quickly became evident that she was completely out of her depth. It was obvious she wasn’t affiliated with the company she claimed to represent. I found the whole experience rather suspicious!

Been getting calls from this same lady on our home phone, asking for the BT account over and over for the past couple days. Thing is, we don’t even have a BT account and we’re on the TPS list! Definitely some kind of scam going on here!

We got a call from someone named Solomon who wanted to pitch new rates for our BT bill. He even managed to get our email address, which we shared, but then he started asking for our bank info. He sounded pretty believable, but luckily my husband said he never shares his bank details on the phone. Solomon seemed to know we’re farmers and mentioned you should never share the full card number. My husband told him to put everything in writing and wouldn’t give any more details. Just a heads up, this guy is really persuasive.

I got a call from some guy saying he was with BT and that my bill was too high. He tried to convince me he could sort me out with a cheaper plan. I told him straight up I don't trust phone calls like that and asked him to send me something in writing. Later, I looked it up and saw quite a few others had reported that same number pulling the same trick.

Got a call from National Business claiming something about our BT service, which we don’t even have! Didn’t let them say much at all. Then an hour later, they ring again with the same spiel. After checking out some comments here, it’s clearly a scam, so I’ve blocked the number now. Honestly, these calls are just harassment - we’re busy running a business and these interruptions waste both my time and money. Signed up for the TPS ages ago, but clearly it’s not doing much.

On 17th September 2020, got a call from 01322 466308, this lady said she was from BT and asked to talk to the person who pays the bills. I told her they weren’t around, she kept pressing about when they’d be back but wouldn’t say why she was calling. I said I didn’t know and then just ended the call. We’re located in Leeds, LS25.
