Scam calls pretending to be HMRC. They told me there’s a warrant for my arrest over unpaid taxes and said the police were on their way to my house. They pushed for me to pay straight away over the phone. I was told not to share any private details. When I asked why I hadn’t received any official letters (which the government normally sends), they claimed the paperwork was sent back since I wasn’t in. That’s rubbish as I work from home and I’m always around. I then asked for the caller’s full name and ID number, but they just hung up on me. I checked with the official government website, and sure enough, it’s a total scam.

Got a robo call the other day, some automated message pretending to be from HMRC. It told me to press 1 if I wanted to talk to an HMRC agent. Pretty sure it’s a scam.
