Beware of Telemarketing Scams! I recently had an unsettling encounter with some individuals posing as representatives from HMRC. They went so far as to threaten me, claiming that a warrant was issued for my arrest due to alleged unpaid taxes. They even asserted that officers were on their way to my residence and insisted on immediate payment over the phone. Whatever you do, don’t divulge any personal details! I queried them about the absence of any official documentation, reminding them that the government typically sends out proper paperwork in such situations. They fabricated a story about the delivery being returned because I wasn’t at home. Ironically, that’s false-I work from home and am always around! When I pressed for the agent's full name and identification number, they abruptly cut the call. I took the precaution of contacting .gov directly and confirmed that this was indeed a scam. Stay cautious!

Got a robo call the other day, some automated message pretending to be from HMRC. It told me to press 1 if I wanted to talk to an HMRC agent. Pretty sure it’s a scam.
