I received a call purporting to be from Vodafone, and the number was registered in Edinburgh. Honestly, I told them to find a decent job instead! I've now blocked them, but how audacious!

My phone flashed a red warning sign (Possible Scam Caller Alert) when they rang, so I've opted not to pick up.

Got a call saying it was some kinda promo from PC World about mobile deals, then the person asked me what phone I’m using, like if it’s an iPhone or whatever. Felt pretty iffy to me - probably just spam, but could be dodgy too.

Picked up the phone only to get a recorded voice that just said "goodbye." I'm guessing it’s one of those call centres making loads of calls at the same time and not enough staff to talk to everyone. Went ahead and blocked the number straight away.

Pretended that the O2 network was offering me a complimentary Apple Watch - what a joke! Clearly just another scam artist trying to pull a fast one.

About two hours before, I got a call from 0131 381 3122 which lasted nearly a minute, and then 15 minutes ago, 0131 381 1310 rang my phone for about a minute but I didn't pick up. My number hasn’t been getting calls for well over a year and a half since it's only used for family emergencies, so I'm pretty sure these must be spam or scam calls.

Someone said they were from Vodafone but as soon as I asked for some kind of verification, they just ended the call.

Indeed, I received a call from them recently. The call centre environment was rather chaotic, making it hard to decipher what they were saying. They mentioned their name, but the background noise was overwhelming, and I could barely catch anything. They disconnected shortly thereafter, so I’ve since blocked the number.

Received a call purporting to be from Curry's PC World. The line was dreadful, filled with noise from what sounded like a hectic call centre. I decided to disregard it entirely and have since blocked the number.

Received a call that purportedly came from Curry's PC World. The person on the other end rattled off their lines at such a speed it was nearly impossible to keep up. When I mentioned that I was struggling to grasp what she was saying, she abruptly ended the call. Quite the experience!

I received a call from someone purporting to be representing EE, claiming they were keen to offer me a discount due to my loyalty as a customer. However, things took a turn when they requested personal information from me. I found it a bit strange and mentioned that they should already have my details on file. At that point, they abruptly ended the call.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be with O2, touting a fantastic 40% discount on my bills. Honestly, it sounded legit! They even emailed me-yes, I foolishly provided my email-using an address that seemed to belong to O2, or so it appeared, as it ended with o2mail.co.uk. When I mentioned that the email domain didn’t strike me as authentic, the chap on the other end became rather irate and abruptly hung up on me. How odd!

They attempted to sell me a SIM upgrade on behalf of Currys, despite the fact that I don't even hold an account with them. I spoke to a supervisor about it, but they abruptly cut the call without addressing any of my concerns. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

The voice was really faint but sounded like an Indian woman working from some call centre. I caught her mentioning some sort of mobile deal, but the line was so muffled I could hardly make it out. I asked her to say that again, but it didn’t get any clearer. So, I just told her "No thanks" and ended the call straight away.
