I got a call from a number linked to Twilio when I looked it up, but turns out it was just some third party making the call through their platform. You can't actually find the real company behind it, so be careful. This time, it was a spammer pretending to be Vodafone, and I just ended the call as soon as they started pushing their sales stuff. Honestly, it's shocking that Twilio lets scammers use their VOIP system like that.

Got a cold call where I could hear loads of chatter in the background, so I guess it was from one of those call centres. The lady said she was ringing from Currys PC World. Since I haven’t bought anything from them in ages, I was a bit wary right away. She went on to explain some service they supposedly had and wanted me to verify some details. Her accent was so thick I could hardly catch what she was saying, so I just hung up. Weird call - if it was legit, their way of doing it was really sloppy.

A woman called me claiming to be from O2, telling me I'd won a prize for being a loyal customer, which sounded rather dubious. She mentioned having links with all the major mobile firms in the UK, and then proceeded to ask for my card information, which raised a lot of red flags for me.
