This number keeps ringing me non stop. No messages left on voicemail at all, and if I try to ring them back, no one ever picks up. Pretty sure it’s some kind of scam call.

I wasn’t home when they rang on the bank holiday yesterday. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail either. Feels like a scam to me.

WARNING! If you get any suspicious calls or messages, make sure to report them straight to the police fraud centre. Just search for ‘action fraud’ and visit the official police.uk page. Go to the section for reporting phishing or scam attempts and carefully check all the instructions. Then provide all the info about the scam, including any links or website addresses. You don’t have to create an account or give personal details unless you’ve actually lost money to the scam. The police can only track these fraud efforts if we all report them, so don’t ignore any dodgy calls or texts!

They said they were from O2 and wanted to talk about my contract, but they were really pushy and didn’t accept when I told them I wasn’t interested in signing up again. Honestly, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t O2 at all, seemed fishy to me.

They tried to trick me into giving my bank info by offering a new phone contract. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, trying to sell me a deal. Lucky for me, I got scammed earlier this year in January, so I played along and made him spill all the details, even if it was only for a couple of minutes. Fingers crossed I stopped a few others from getting done over! In the end, I told him I wasn’t convinced, he just wished me a nice day and hung up.

I received a phone call from someone who stated he was from O2, supposedly reaching out about renewing my contract. He insisted that my contract was nearing the end and that I qualified for a considerably better offer. The catch? I don’t even use O2! It was evident this wasn’t a simple mix-up, as he had all my personal details, including my full name and address. It struck me that he was trying to pull a fast one and get his hands on my bank information. Quite the dodgy character, if you ask me!

Got a call just now from a bloke who knew my name and claimed to be with O2 about my contract running out. I told him that’s rubbish since I’d only just extended it a few months back, so there’s no way he’s really from O2. He kept pushing, even started mentioning my phone number, then suddenly acted like he never said he was with O2 at all. I told him to jog on and hung up straight away.

Sounds like a scam to me, best to not pick up and just block the number straight away.

Some bloke from Ukraine rings me up saying I’ve got a bit of bitcoin, like 0.11 BTC left in some investment account I supposedly haven’t touched in ages. He gave some dodgy name for the platform, made it all sound proper. Then he tried telling me he’d help me get the btc out by using TeamViewer or something to connect to my computer. Obviously, I wasn’t falling for that nonsense! Haha, no way I'm lettin’ him near my PC!

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, telling me my contract was up for renewal and there was a better offer available. I told them my contract isn't ending yet and that I'm still making payments on my phone. After that, they just hung up on me.

Supposedly conducting some sort of market research, but has been prevented from contacting me.
