4 yearsI received a call earlier today, and it started off with a mysterious message claiming to be from a "bank department," but they didn’t specify which bank it was. When I managed to get hold of the caller, he said they were representing Visa. Given that the number was 0131, I thought I’d have a bit of fun and asked how Scotland was doing today, which seemed to throw him off a bit. I pointed out that’s where the number was from, and then he resorted to name-calling before abruptly ending the call. Quite the experience, I must say!VisaScotland4 yearsDidn’t pick up, just blocked straight away.4 yearsReceived a rather unexpected call purporting to be from a loan company. Definitely not one I asked for!5 yearsI’m getting these incessant calls daily as well. They always seem to come from different locations like Edinburgh, Reading, Glasgow, or Liverpool, with the same old spiel about supposed debts (which I certainly don’t have!) and offering their so-called assistance. To combat this ongoing nuisance, I’ve just taken the step of registering my mobile with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). Fingers crossed this helps to reduce the bothersome calls. “Have you heard that you can add your mobile number to the TPS? Just send a text saying ‘TPS’ along with your email address to 85095 from your mobile. There’s no cost for sending the text or for the confirmation you’ll receive. Once you’ve done it, you’ll get a message back confirming that your number has been properly added to the TPS list.”EdinburghReadingGlasgowLiverpoolTelephone Preference ServiceTPS5 yearsWhat a hassle, had to block the number straight away.5 yearsIt’s just spam, best to ignore it.5 yearsAnother spam call!
