Got a call from someone saying they were from some company (didn’t catch their name) offering to filter scam calls for me. They seemed to have picked up some info like my name, address and phone number. They asked if I owned my place and mentioned I pay my phone bill by direct debit. Then they claimed my debit card had expired back in 2022, which isn’t true. Told me to check the expiry date myself. I ended the call straight away.

They’re touting a service or gadget for blocking calls and saying I’d get lifetime access to it. However, they lack ownership of the website they’re claiming affiliation with. The address they provided? Totally nonexistent. As for the company itself? No sign of it anywhere. It has all the hallmarks of a scam, if you ask me.

Got a call claiming to be from Call Guardian, said I'd stop getting annoying calls from tomorrow (guess they meant themselves too). Right off the bat, they got my name wrong and then asked how I paid my bill. I asked why they needed that info since the service is meant to be free. They said it was free but they were doing a customer survey. Then they tried asking if I paid by cash or cheque. Still puzzled why they needed that, I asked again and they just cut me off. Definitely sounded like a scam trying to get my bank details.

Got a call from 01313670374, a woman with a foreign accent who claimed she was reactivating my call guardian service to block spam calls. She asked for my personal info and then wanted the expiry date on my Visa card. When I questioned why she needed my card details just to stop calls, she said it was for verification.
