I've got to share this alarming experience. Some absolute scoundrels have been pestering my dear 75-year-old mother. They had the audacity to inquire about which bank she used, how close it was to her, and even the distance to the post office! It's beyond frustrating! 😡

Got a voicemail from my bank’s security team saying there’s been two transactions today, one for £300 on Amazon and another overseas transfer of £1600. They told me to press 1 to speak to someone about it. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a dodgy automated call saying I’d spent £300 on some Amazon order and over a grand with some other firm. Sounded like a total scam to me.

Just got a robocall from a woman with an American accent claiming I owe £300 to Amazon - funny thing is, I don’t even have an Amazon account! She said over £1000 had been withdrawn internationally from my bank card but never said which bank. This is the second time I’ve had one of these calls this week.

someone pretending to be from bank security rang me, never said which bank tho. said there was a £300 amazon payment plus over £1000 sent overseas. said it’s cause i hadn’t used those services before. total rubbish. they told me to press 1 to confirm or 2 to talk to an agent. i wasn’t arsed to mess about so i just hung up. seems dodgy as hell.

Got a call that claimed to be from Amazon about a pricey order made from abroad. Sounds dodgy to me, most likely a scam trying to catch people out.

My mum got a call from someone saying she'd lost £300 and £1000 from her card, but they never said which bank or company. Clearly a scam! We blocked the number, but I doubt it'll do much since they just keep switching numbers. So annoying!

Someone rang me saying they were from Amazon and that there were two charges on my card, the first for £300. I just hung up straight away. Luckily, there weren’t any actual transactions on my card.

I’ve taken to avoiding calls from numbers I don’t recognise altogether. This particular number has tried to get in touch with me a handful of times but never bothers to leave a voicemail. Cheers, Edinburgh!

01313670370 called me but hung up just as I was about to pick up. I tried returning the call but it said the number was unreachable. So, I turned to this great website to see who it was and guess what? It’s probably the same dodgy caller from earlier who pretended to be from my bank’s fraud team, accusing me of some weird Amazon payment and an overseas cash transfer. This type of scam seems to be quite common now and honestly, something really needs to be done to stop it. Watch out folks!

Got a robo call earlier from some secret bank about a debt I supposedly owe. Pretty annoying since I have no clue who they are or what it’s about.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the “bank security team”. Then I got a second message but the voice was American this time. When I finally spoke to this “poll taker”, I asked which bank he was with, and he said Visa. I then asked where he was calling from - Brentford! I jokingly asked if there was a police station nearby, told him it'd be better if he just gave himself up rather than us having to track him down and take action (bit of fun on my part). Of course, he just hung up straight away - no shock there!

I've been inundated with calls from this pest, who appears to be from India. They tried reaching me five times in total! In the end, I had no choice but to leave the phone off the receiver to get some peace.

I got a call on my landline from 01313670370. It was an automated message claiming to be from Amazon saying there was a second charge and that I supposedly owed £1,100 to some international money transfer site. The message said it was apparently an unauthorised transaction on my card. They said to press 1 if I wanted to allow the transaction or 2 to cancel it, plus I could talk to their support team. The whole thing sounded dodgy and didn’t add up, so I just saved the message. Felt a bit uneasy but it was obviously a scam.
