Lately, I've begun receiving a rather annoying influx of calls-about two a day-from what I suspect are firms trying to rope me in as a client, alluding to an alleged car accident from the past couple of years which, I must stress, has not occurred. My tactic for fending off these persistent callers is to demand they divulge how they came by my name and phone number. Unsurprisingly, they tend to sidestep the question and eventually end the call rather unceremoniously. I attempted to ring the number mentioned, but it led to a recorded message stating it was an incorrect number. They also seem to be using the numbers 03300590475 and 03300590468. To add to the tale, I’ve since blocked all such numbers they’ve reached me on. Each and every time, these calls have been directed to my mobile.

Just received a call from a number that flashed 'Scotland' on my screen. No one I know is up north, so I decided to let it ring. Out of curiosity, I looked up the number and I'm rather pleased I chose to ignore the call. Scrolling through the recent feedback, it's intriguing to notice that apart from a few comments from today, the previous ones were from a while back, all concerning issues related to credit cards, rather than cars or accidents. It seems like they've switched tactics with their latest trickery. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that they don't catch anyone out this time!

I received a call where the person claimed I'd been involved in a car accident. When I insisted that I hadn't, they brushed me off and pressed for details about the supposed accident. I reiterated that no such incident had occurred, and then they simply disconnected the call. Just my luck to encounter yet another scam!

I just had a missed call from an unfamiliar number that doesn't ring a bell. It's not one that I usually keep tabs on, and I had a hunch it might be a sales call or some sort of nuisance. Quite curious, really!

I received a phone call regarding a road accident. I mentioned that my leg had been amputated, and then they passed me on to a supervisor. I recounted my tale to them, and they just disconnected! A bit lacking in wit, if you ask me! :-(

I received a call from someone claiming to be Emma Mackitosh at Proficient Helpline. She inquired if I'd recently had a car accident. At first, the call felt like it was generated by a machine, but after some persistent questioning on my part, she did eventually respond. I've since blocked the number, though I’m not convinced that will be effective since a quick look into Proficient Helpline revealed they use multiple numbers. I’d advise against picking up if they ring again.

Don't fall for it! I just received a call from this number, inquiring whether I'd had a car crash. It’s clearly a scam. Best to ignore it altogether and add them to your block list. Stay safe!
