Got two calls just a few minutes apart, one from this number and the other from 01417397495 - same lady on both. She actually admitted I had hung up on her. Both calls were about Sky insurance - I don’t have Sky at home, told her that and she said they’d sort out their records. I reckon I’m gonna get flooded with calls in the coming weeks.

They said a name I’d never heard of before. I just told them I wasn’t insured with them and then they asked who I was insured through. Somebody rang to talk about a warranty on my fridge freezer, even though I haven’t had it working in years. I played along for a while, asked what brand it was, but she didn’t seem to know. I reckon they’ve given up on the washing machine warranty scam on me because I kept messing them about, even told them I was shocked it had a warranty considering I’d bought it for £26 off eBay last year. She kept calling me ma’am, which got on my nerves, so I told her off and hung up.

This is the second time this week theyve called about my washing machine warranty being up. The first time I just told them my washer is ancient and ended the call. Just got a call from this number saying my washing machine warranty was about to expire on 2nd December and they could renew it for £99 if it was still working fine. When I said no, they said I could pay in two parts. My husband thought it sounded okay so I was about to go along with it but thought I’d double check the number online first. Glad I did because turns out it’s a scam. You’d be surprised how easy it is to get tricked.

These days I just don’t bother picking up my landline. Voicemail is a lifesaver. The moment the recorded greeting kicks in I hang up straight away. If it’s something important, the person’ll leave a message and then I either ring back when I have time or answer if I’m around. After seeing some of the comments here, I’m really happy we took this approach. It cuts down on so much hassle.

Received a call today around 12:17 to an elderly and vulnerable relative who seemed quite baffled and upset by the whole thing. I happened to come into the room while the call was ongoing and was asked to speak in their place. The person on the line, sounding young and with a foreign accent, claimed to be calling from Sky. I quickly told her it was pointless as we neither have nor want Sky, and to stop ringing us again. Then I ended the call. It took me a good while to soothe my family member and calm myself down too, as it really upset me to see him so shaken up by it!

Got a nice sounding lady calling herself Rachel asking to chat with my missus by her name. When I asked what it was regarding, she started on about the insurance for our washing machine (wrong brand and we don’t insure it). I then asked her to give me the number she was ringing from, but she claimed she didn’t have a clue. I told her if she didn’t know the number, I couldn’t deal with her and asked her to take our number off their database. After the “£90 special deal for two years” scam that came through earlier this week, I was trying to keep my cool.

I couldn’t make out a thing at first. Some woman was telling me my Zanussi washing machine warranty had expired. Thing is, that machine actually packed up like 6 or 7 years ago! Got a call from someone saying they were from Total Motor Aid, saying it was about a claim I supposedly put in for a crash. When I asked for some proper info and wanted to know my car's reg number, they just cut me off. I'd already signed up my number with OFCOM to stop this kind of nonsense.

So, this bloke rang me up about some crash I supposedly had three years ago! Told him I’ve never been in an accident and asked where he got my info from, then he just hung up. A few days later, he calls again. I said I knew who he was and told him to delete my number from whatever list he had. He stayed quiet for a bit, then suddenly burst out laughing all creepy-like. Proper weird dude!

The caller claimed to be from Total Motor Aid and mentioned something about a small car accident I supposedly had in the past couple of years. When I asked for more details, like exactly which incident he was referring to, he just said it was within the last two years. I pressed for a specific date, then he just dropped the call on me. I looked up the company address and found it’s listed as Chapel House, Chapel Road, Worthing, BN11 1EX.

This number rang me and I figured it might be from the hospital, so I picked up. But no one said a word, just silence. I quickly hung up. Seems like one of those spam calls, but it’s kinda sketchy when there’s no one talking on the line.

I inquired with the gentleman on the other end regarding what his document had noted about my mishap. To my surprise, he bluntly replied, “It says you’re a complete nuisance!” I’m definitely going to lodge a complaint with the authorities.

I picked up the phone and they immediately hung up without saying anything. No voicemail left either. A few minutes later, I tried calling the number back and got connected to some call centre. There was a recorded message in an American accent saying something like "your call matters to us..."
