I received a call from a chap named Harry Gordman, who had quite a thick Asian accent. He claimed to be from "Premium Protect" and was attempting to chat about insurance for my washing machine. He mentioned a figure related to the appliance but couldn't provide any details about its brand. Despite my insistence that the machine is ancient-30 years old, to be precise-he wouldn't let up. In the end, I decided to cut the conversation short and just hung up.

That bloody call with the thick ‘Indian’ accent about some Sky Box insurance again. I feel a bit miffed since I seem to be one of the very few he didn’t bother to say his name (though I reckon Harry must be a common name over in India somewhere!). Maybe he’s branching out from selling washing machines now? Typical daft SCAM if you ask me. If I ever come face to face with one of these brainless muppets, I reckon it’d be tough not to leave ’em needing a serious trip to A&E!

Got a call from 01312022974 earlier today. They said our washing machine insurance had run out but said there was a big discount before Christmas if I signed up straight away. It sounded fishy right away. I asked if I could ring back later but they couldn’t provide a phone number. It’s a shame the authorities don’t catch these scammers and give them a proper punishment. Honestly, I almost fell for it… then I suddenly recalled I haven’t had SKY in over 20 years! Dodged a bullet that time! When the bloke asked what I planned to do with the cover, I didn’t hold back and let him know exactly what I thought. Proper con artists.

Can you believe this? I ended up telling them which bank my debit card is from, then they straight up asked for the long string of numbers on the front. So I said, 'Sure, it’s BULLSH1T.' Total quiet. Then, 'Are you positive, Madam? It’s a long number made up of digits.' I replied, 'Yeah, I get that. This whole thing is BULLSH1T, you’re just trying to con me. Cheers for wasting your time. Bye.' And then, BLOCKED. What a laugh.

After wasting even more time (his - although I’m feeling rough with this awful flu) it turned out he was perfectly fine (probably happily stewing in his sweaty little hands at how easy I was to trick) and we both agreed that the Sky deal sounded 'amazing' and 'fantastic'. Then he put me through to Account Verification, where I met 'Tom' with a thick South African accent. He went over the same rubbish as his mate about the great benefits and money-saving discounts for the next 3 years. Brilliant! All for a service I don’t even have or want.

Got a call from some bloke called 'Oliver', sounded proper Asian accent, claiming he was from Sky. He kept banging on about our Sky Entertainment Package deal. Said they'd sent engineers to check all gear and everything's fine. Brilliant! (But how the heck do you check equipment that ain’t even set up here? I dunno, seems like some kinda sorcery to me. When I told them they’d mixed up the name and were actually ringing a work mobile, they didn’t just hang up like most do. Instead, this guy answered with this smug, sneaky tone, saying something like, "funny you called back if it was wrong!" which wasn’t true at all. Proper annoying, so I just ended it there.
