Got a call from some joker claiming they can slash my energy bills (yeah, right). Total con artists if you ask me.

They asked me about my heating system, address, and other home info. I quickly checked everything while on the call and then just hung up.

I never pick up if I don’t know the number, but I always see who tried to call me after I miss it. So glad I have this site to look up those unknown calls. After reading the earlier comments, I’m definitely going to block this one - scammers are the worst!!!

Been getting calls from India pretending to help with the energy problems - had about five of those this week now. They use loads of different numbers, and don’t be tricked if they call from what looks like a UK landline, they’ve figured out how to fake it. Some callers don’t even know who you are, others already have your name. If you’re after support, always contact your energy supplier directly or visit Gov.uk to see what’s actually available. Never hand over your info to these fraudsters. Best bet? Just hang up and block the number.

Got a call from 01303901648 asking me to take part in an energy survey. I just told them no and blocked the number straight away. Just thought I’d let you know, haven’t done anything else about it.

Got a call from someone sounding Indian, barely spoke any decent English and was really hard to follow. Said something about an energy app that didn’t seem real. Thought about messing with him a bit but then he just dropped the call!

Got a call around 5 in the evening but didn’t pick up since I avoid picking unknown numbers, that’s why I love having caller ID. No voicemail either, so I just went ahead and blocked the number.

Just got called by some dodgy energy company trying to scam me. Don’t fall for it, they’re not legit!

I just ignored the call since they didn’t bother to leave any voicemail. Pretty clear it was a scam.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent asking if Mr or Mrs Adams was there. I told her she must have the wrong number as I don’t know anyone by those names. Ended the call quickly and decided to block the number.

When he called, he wanted to know my name first. I asked him instead who he was, and he answered that he was calling from the Energy Saving Department. I wasn’t convinced and told him so, then he just ended the call. Honestly, I don’t get why these calls keep coming. Why won’t BT just block them for good? It’s so frustrating.

I got a call at 12:16 on the 21st of October from 01303901648. They were asking for a Mr Furlong, which is actually part of my house's name! When I asked who was on the phone, they just put the phone down. I tried ringing back but only got some music playing and a voice saying "Your call is important, please hold for an agent." I didn't bother waiting and ended the call.

My mobile buzzed around five times, but the caller didn't allow me enough time to answer. They didn’t leave a voicemail either.

They keep ringing me from loads of different numbers, definitely a scam trying to pull a fast one.

I got a call from a man with an Indian accent who was asking for someone called Mr MacOrmack, but that name doesn't live here. He said he was from Energy Saving Grants UK and mentioned that they record all calls. He started talking about various products that might help cut down my bills. I tried telling him he’d reached the wrong number or person, but he just kept going. In the end, I said thanks and ended the call.
