Pretty sure this is a total rip-off.

Got a call from an unknown number, but there was no sound on the other end. Strange silent call.

Be wary, as this might be a premium rate number or one that shares costs with the caller. When I returned the call, I was greeted by a mechanical voice that asserted “this call is of great importance to them” and advised me to hold for an operator. Quite suspicious, I must say!

Picked up my phone when this strange number rang, but all I got was dead silence. Felt like someone might be there but not saying anything. Decided to block it.

Loads of calls have come through from numbers beginning with this, and every single one seems to be linked to scams and has been reported already.
