I just got a call from this number but it was completely silent on the other end.

Got a call on my number that’s on the Preference Register, about some care scheme for older folks. They wanted to know if I was aware of a government programme. I asked them, "Why are you ringing me about this?" and then they snapped at me, saying "If you’re going to be nasty, I’m not bothering to speak with you." Seriously? I reckon that was a fair question. Feels like just another dodgy agency trying to take advantage of people’s worries - worries they probably stirred up themselves - just to get cash. These unsolicited calls need to be outlawed and those making them should be penalised.
