I received a call from this number and there was no one on the line! Quite baffling, really.

Received a rather intrusive call on my phone, which is registered with the preference service, regarding some care plan supposedly for the elderly. They inquired if I was aware of a government scheme. Naturally, I responded with, "What relevance does that have for you?" To which the reply came back, "If you're going to be impolite, I won't continue this conversation." Quite audacious, if you ask me! It was simply a legitimate question. Looks to me like yet another organisation is attempting to exploit people's fears-which they’ve largely created-to squeeze out some cash. It’s unsolicited, and frankly, these sorts of calls ought to be prohibited, with penalties for those making them.
