I picked up ’cause the number had my town’s area code. An automated voice came on claiming to be Ofcom, saying BT was about to cut off my internet in less than a day because of suspicious activity linked to my IP. They asked me to press a button to speak directly to BT. Total scam, right? And for the record, I don’t even have BT as my provider!
