Honestly, it feels like phone companies should just include call blocking free with any phone contract. Loads of my mates have ditched their landlines because of all the spam calls. If everyone did the same, I reckon the companies would finally have to listen.

Somebody rang saying they were from BT and that my internet was downloading viruses or something without me realising. They told me if I didn’t get on my computer, they’d shut off our internet for 20 days. Then, because I didn’t play along, they said they’d go ahead and cut it off. Sure enough, about 5 minutes later!

This number has rung me up a couple of times. The first time, when I picked up, all I got was an automated "Goodbye." Then this morning, a woman with an Indian accent said she was from BT's technical support. I told her I was a bit tied up right then and would ring back in 5 minutes using the official number from my bill. She got quite annoyed and said if I called back, I might not get to speak with her. So, I ended the call.

This number rang me up earlier today. The bloke claimed he was from BT and said there was an issue with my broadband. When I asked what the trouble was, he went on about some nasty malware taking over my computer. I told him, as I always do with these muppets, that I don’t even have a computer. Funny enough, I heard a click and the idiot hung up on me right away.

A lady claiming to be from BT contacted me and said that my services were about to be disconnected, insisting that I was aware of it. Her English language skills were quite poor, and her colleague who called earlier had even worse language skills. They were very impolite and abruptly hung up without asking any further questions.

I encountered a slight variation of the aforementioned incidents, where the perpetrators asserted that they were representatives of the National Crime Agency and alleged that my computer had been hacked. To entertain myself, I engaged in meaningless conversation with them for a short while before ultimately losing interest and ending the call.

I got a call from an Indian bloke who was breathing heavily. I figured he was getting all worked up when I told him I could turn on a couple of computers so he could have a look inside. Then I joked that these computers were actually for his mum and sister. After that, he just hung up. Afterwards, I watched "The Jungle Book". Honestly, these lot are just like a disease, preying on folks who are vulnerable.

This morning at about 11, a woman with an Indian accent rang claiming to be from BT's tech support. She told me hackers had been getting into my account whenever I logged into my PC. Had a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from BT and that my computer was infected. I played along for a bit, maybe 5 mins, then told her straight she was trying to scam me. Another call from an Asian lady warning me my computer was about to crash. I played dumb and chatted for like 25 minutes, acting like I had zero clue about tech. I'm actually an IT teacher! She must've got proper annoyed thinking I was clueless and shouted at me to go to hell before she ended the call. They never get the message! Earlier today, I received a call from a man named Matthew claiming to be from BT technical support. Yesterday, another man named Jordan called but I was suspicious and didn't turn on my computer. Instead, I engaged him in conversation for about 20 minutes. Astonishingly, he even asked me to turn on my tablet and mobile! Who would be so foolish as to comply with his demands!? Eventually, he grew frustrated and ended the call. Today, when Matthew called, I answered in a foreign language and continued speaking in that language. Matthew yelled at me to switch on my computer and became increasingly angry and abusive. In response, I simply placed the phone on the table and let him rant for 8 minutes before he ended the call. What an interesting way to handle BT customers, haha! Let this serve as a warning - do NOT fall for this scam.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent, saying he was John from BT’s tech team. He told us our internet was gonna be switched off for 3 months because of some issue on our server. Said if we let him access the computer right away, he could sort it, otherwise no internet for ages. We said we’d ask our broadband provider since we’re not even with BT. He kept pushing hard, so we ended the call. Rang our provider afterwards who said it was definitely a scam and to report it to the police.

Today, I received a call from an unknown number. The woman on the other end sounded foreign and claimed to be from the BT tech department. However, since I was awaiting a call back from BT, I became suspicious when she requested me to switch on my computer due to an apparent issue. To test her legitimacy, I politely asked her if she could provide me with my BT account number. Her response was that as a member of the Tech Department, she did not possess this information. Unconvinced, I calmly reiterated my request for the account number, but she disregarded it and continued talking. Frustrated, I had to raise my voice and insisted on obtaining my account number. In a disrespectful manner, she replied with an offensive word before abruptly ending the call. This incident serves as a reminder to exercise caution when dealing with unfamiliar phone numbers.

I received two calls from a certain number today. The person on the other end claimed that there was an issue with my internet connection and that it would be cut off for 20 days due to a line virus. I found this quite amusing. He then suggested that my computer had a virus and asked if I was currently sitting in front of it. He recommended turning it on so he could assist me in removing the supposed virus. I couldn't help but laugh at his attempt and promptly ended the call. However, an hour later, he called again using an automated voice to bid me farewell.
