Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, but felt like a scam. They kept trying to get me to log onto my computer, no asking any security questions at all. Said there was a problem with my phone line and it’d be out of action for 3 days. Definitely sounded dodgy, probably hackers!

These people are total crooks pretending they're from BT. They spin that tired tale about finding a virus on your laptop and say they’ll fix it for you. But really, they just want you to install their own nasty malware or let them control your computer entirely. And of course, they'll likely hit you for a hefty fee once they’ve got you hooked.
