This number has rung me loads of times before, and because it shows up as Ayr, I usually just ignore it. Today, out of the blue, I picked up on my mobile. When I asked who it was and what company they were from, they said Fosters in Ayr. I checked online and saw they're a funeral business. They honestly don’t get how upsetting this is. I lost my dear husband in Feb three years back, and it just brings up awful memories. I really wish someone could put a stop to them and maybe they’d get penalised. Now, I’ve blocked the number for good.

i've been getting calls like this every now and then, maybe once or twice a month. but today alone, i got two - one claiming to be from a cab company and the other saying they were from the rta claims team. neither of those groups normally ring you out of the blue, so i told them that and they quickly ended the call. i tried to sign up with tps using a link i found online, but my browser warned me it wasn't secure, plus the URL didn’t have that little padlock symbol, so i stopped. does anyone know a safe way to register?

i got a call from some funeral directors the other day. the woman on the phone was quite courteous and even said sorry when i mentioned i was busy at work. but seriously, when is there gonna be something done about these random calls? and honestly, buying anything like funeral services based on a cold call from strangers? that’s just ridiculous!

I've no connections to Ayr, Scotland at all. So when this number popped up and I saw the reviews, I just blocked it. If it’s true this is a funeral director ringing, why on earth would they be trying to contact me? Got a phone call from what sounded like a call centre, asking about the insurance cover me and my family hold. They kept pushing some sort of plan and wanted bank info plus lots of personal details. It felt quite off to me. Things got weird when I asked, “So what if I die?” Their answer was blunt - something like, “Well then, I’m not gonna be around to pay, so not our issue. Cheers!” I reckon that threw the caller a bit. Definitely a scam, so I've blocked the number.
