Loads of dodgy insurance, warranty for appliances and funeral plan scams about nowadays. I reckon it’s the same lot behind the loft insulation and boiler scam calls too. Best thing is to report them all to the police. Just google “action fraud”, then go to the “police.uk” page, find the report section and mark it as phishing. If everyone reported every scam call, the cops would have the info they need to really get on top of these.

They rang up pretending they were after someone, then straight away started their sales pitch. This is the second time in five days. I was fairly polite telling them to buzz off the first time, but I was far less friendly this time. These cold calling muppets! I got called 7 times one afternoon while I was with my very sick mum and by the time I managed to get upstairs she had just died, still warm and all alone. So cheers a lot, Fosters, for taking away the last few moments I had with her. Some folks can't even afford a simple funeral, and I’d rather pinch every penny than ever deal with your lot, even if it was on the house! I’ll never forget what you’ve done.

They asked if I already had a funeral plan and, to keep it brief, they wanted to set up a meeting for someone to come and chat about the different choices.
