Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who claimed he was ringing from 118 to check if my business info online was still correct. He said he was working for Yahoo, Google, and AOL. When I told him I've already spoken to Google earlier that day and everything's all good, he didn’t sound happy. He asked why Google had told him to call me then, and without another word, he just ended the call. Definitely felt like he wasn’t upfront about what he really wanted.

Once I told them I wasn’t interested in doing any more advertising than I already do, they just hung up. Definitely seems like a scam. Honestly, best thing is to not pick up if you get a call like this, but if you do, ask straight away for proof they’re really from 118.
