Got a call from an 01285 number and when I picked up, they just dropped the call straight away. From what I’ve seen, those numbers often belong to scammers. I’m not taking any chances, so I’ve blocked it now.

What a con! I received a call purporting to be from Carphone Warehouse, touting a so-called deal on an iPhone 13. The thing is, I've never had any dealings with them whatsoever, and the number is registered in Cirencester, where their sole store has long since shut its doors for good. Quite the dodgy operation!
