Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, your network provider. They asked how much I pay for my SIM, saying they could give me a 30% discount. I was like, shouldn’t you already know that? (FYI, I’m not even with O2). They said "Ma’am, we’re in sales so we don’t have that info, you need to tell us." I told them "You honestly sound like a scammer, can you prove you’re legit?" Received a call from someone purporting to be with the O2 "promotions team." I've had a couple of calls from this number purporting to be O2, claiming they can slash my phone bill if I share some details with them. They’ll request a security code as confirmation. PLEASE, DON’T GIVE IT TO THEM; doing so could compromise your actual O2 account. O2 employs two-factor authentication, and these fraudsters could potentially interfere just enough to trigger a legitimate security code from O2 via text. If you inadvertently disclose a valid O2 security code, it could make it far too easy for them to breach your account. I’ve gone ahead and reported this number to O2 as a fraudulent operation.

I got a call from someone saying they were from O2, and ive had this kind of call before. They try to tempt you with a “special offer” and then ask you to enter your phone number on a website. You’ll get a text with a “code” and they’ll ask you for it. NEVER give them that code. If you do, they can get into your account, change your password, and run up charges. They might even buy a phone or new sims using your account. Just hang up and dont deal with it!
