There was a pause before someone spoke, then a man with a strong Indian accent said he was calling from O2’s promotions team. He asked how much I was paying for my mobile, and when I told him that wasn’t for him to know, he claimed he was only trying to help me save money. I told him he ought to be embarrassed and find an honest job. He then wished me a pleasant day and ended the call. Oddly, after hanging up, my phone started making weird clicking sounds and even though I could still dial out, the noises only stopped once I restarted the device.

Got a call from someone asking about the phone I’m using and how much my monthly plan costs. I said I’m on a family deal with a 256GB iPhone 13 Pro and 20GB data, paying £36 a month. Straight away the bloke tried to pitch me an upgrade to the Pro Max for just £22 a month 🙄 Total scam if you ask me!

Somebody rang me pretending to be from O2, said they wanted to check if I was happy with their service and mentioned some discounts. When I began asking them things, they suddenly went quiet. I didn’t bother staying on the call and just blocked the number straight away. Definitely looks like a scam to me.
