I received a call from a number flagged as a "potential scam" on my mobile. When I picked up, the caller pretended to be from O2, insisting that I had a contract with them-something that’s simply not true. As soon as I mentioned that my phone labelled the call as suspicious and that I was about to search their number online to investigate, they abruptly ended the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Got a call from someone pretending to be Currys PC World saying I’d won the latest iPhone and just needed to give my info. It definitely sounded dodgy, so I asked them to send me an email instead. The address they gave was [email protected], which I checked and isn’t a legit Currys email at all. The email itself seemed spammy and ended up straight in my junk folder. Definitely a scam!

I picked up the phone only for the caller to hang up immediately. I'm getting a strong feeling it was some sort of spam. I decided to call back to find out who was on the other end, and to my surprise, there was a chap with a foreign accent asking me to leave a message. I've since added his number to my blocked list.

I received a call from someone who was masquerading as an O2 representative. They were remarkably persuasive, even going so far as to send me a verification code purportedly from O2. Thankfully, I wasn’t gullible enough to share the code when they requested it. O2 has since verified that it was indeed a scammer attempting to access my account to procure a device.

Tell me about it, I got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. They said they found my voice appealing and even mentioned wanting to give me a kiss. So the phone buzzes, I pick it up, and to my surprise, there’s absolutely no one on the other end. Following that, I found myself staring at the receiver in confusion, as I couldn't get a dial tone for about five minutes. Quite the mystery, wasn't it?
