My phone showed the number as "potential scam" when it rang, and the person on the other end said they were from O2, telling me I supposedly have a contract with them (which I don’t). When I told them my phone flagged the call as a scam and that I’d be Googling their number to check what kind of scam it was, they just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Currys PC World saying I’d won the latest iPhone and just needed to give my info. It definitely sounded dodgy, so I asked them to send me an email instead. The address they gave was [email protected], which I checked and isn’t a legit Currys email at all. The email itself seemed spammy and ended up straight in my junk folder. Definitely a scam!

Got a call but the person hung up as soon as I picked up. Thought it might be some sorta spam :-(. I decided to call back just to check who's calling me, and it turned out to be a guy with a foreign accent asking me to leave a message. I've gone and blocked the number now.

The bloke said he was from Carphone Warehouse, so I played along just to see what he was on about. Then out of nowhere he starts shouting “F**K you Mother F**ker” and told me I was wasting HIS time. Talk about the tables turning! Honestly, don’t bother picking up. His offers aren’t even worth it.

I got a call from someone claiming to be O2 and it sounded pretty legit, they even sent me a code that looked like it was from O2. Luckily, I didn’t fall for it and refused to give them the code when asked. Checked with O2 afterwards and they told me it was definitely a scammer trying to get access to my account to grab a phone or something.

Tell me about it, I got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. They said they found my voice appealing and even mentioned wanting to give me a kiss. I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from a certain company-though I never caught the name as the line was quite blustery where I was. I requested him to repeat the company name, but instead of responding, he simply hung up on me. When I tried to ring the number back, it turned out to be a dud. So the phone buzzes, I pick it up, and to my surprise, there’s absolutely no one on the other end. Following that, I found myself staring at the receiver in confusion, as I couldn't get a dial tone for about five minutes. Quite the mystery, wasn't it?
