This number has been ringing several times over the last week (late April 2022), with a caller claiming to be from a bank wanting to check a £600 transaction on my mum's card. She ended the call abruptly yesterday, but then they called back, insisting quite forcefully that the card would be cancelled straight away unless she confirmed her details. I’ve blocked them now.

Received a call purporting to be from Virgin Media, supposedly offering me a 30% reduction on my mobile phone contract - which is odd considering I don't even have one! When I pointed this out, the caller pivoted to ask if I was using their broadband service. He then claimed to be from their sales support team, to which I naturally questioned why they would handle such matters instead of the accounts department. Just like that, he hung up on me.

It's hardly going to be from Her Majesty, considering Buckingham is situated close to Milton Keynes, which is quite a trek from London proper. I've taken the precaution of blocking the number now.

Interestingly, I see that the calls began on the 29th of November, 2021, and seemed to have been investigated multiple times-20 searches, if I’m not mistaken-which raises a red flag.
