Totally a scam, I rang them back just for a laugh and got this bloke with an Indian accent who started flipping out when I said I thought it was dodgy. I've been using my unlimited calls to ring them nonstop and they're getting really cheesed off. So far I’ve spoken to some angry blokes, complete silence, and the odd lady who’s actually trying hard to sound legit. Looks like a tiny outfit, though that rude guy boasted about having "thousands of agents" and seemed well proud to call himself "a filthy scammer" with "no morals" (his exact words).

Got a voicemail supposedly from HMRC threatening legal stuff and saying I need a solicitor. I rang back to check, but the guy on the phone was really rude, barely spoke English properly, and kept asking my name and address. When I asked what the call was about and why I’d had no letters, he just hung up. I’m disabled, have people depending on me, and pay my taxes properly. This phone number is connected to a scam reported by West Mercia police. The scammers claim to be from HMRC and threaten people with arrest unless they pay money! From what I've seen dealing with HMRC overdue payments, they usually start by sending a reminder letter and only consider legal steps as a final measure. In my case, I've always managed to sort out a payment arrangement without any issues. I've never had a call from HMRC about late payments, let alone one where they threaten to "go to the courthouse" - plus that term is American, which immediately shows it’s a scam. Don’t stress yourself over this joker, just block the number and move on.

Got a few calls from them over the past week, all of which I've let ring out to voicemail. Seems like a right dodgy scam to me. Thinking about picking up next time just to mess around and waste their time instead. Total pain and obviously trying something sneaky!

Just had another call from these two total bellends! They also rang me last Friday from this number 0208 133 6674. I’ve already flagged the first number to HMRC and I’m planning to notify the police about both now. Hope others are taking action too. These two tossers are seriously out of order with their fraud attempts and constant harassment. Proper nastiness - feel bad for anyone who’s been caught up in their rubbish.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be James Anderson from HMRC about unpaid taxes. Pretty sure it was a scam from an Indian guy just messing about. Best way to deal with them? Drag the convo out to rack up their phone charges - that’s if they’re not calling through Skype. Complete time waster!

I got this identical message left on my voicemail. Told straight away it was dodgy. The recording didn’t even bother with my name, some bloke called James Anderson just read a script. Best not call back, they sometimes keep the call open just to use your number for calls that you end up having to pay for. Proper scam, avoid it!

Got another call today from some James Anderson claiming to be from HMRC saying I need to call back about court action. It’s total rubbish, just SCAMMERS trying to trick you. I checked with HMRC myself and they said there's no court case or anything like that. Don't fall for it!

Got a call from him today so I decided to give him a ring back at 1 in the morning. The phone did ring but he ended the call real quick. Why just sit back and let this happen? I reckon anyone should feel free to call or message him whenever they want. It’s not right that honest folk get targeted by people like this. Might as well give him a bit of what he’s dishing out!

I called them back, fully aware it was a scam, and made it clear to someone named James Anderson that they were not welcome to ring me ever again, warning them I’d report it to the police. Unsurprisingly, he ended the call straight away. Honestly, these scammers deserve to be locked up.
