I got a call with a really unclear, garbled voice saying something about sales and marketing. There was a message telling you to press 9 if you want to be taken off their list, but i'd avoid that since since after pressing it, I started getting loads more calls from overseas numbers. Then, when I rang 01273 987243 and 01273987244 back, it just said “The number you have dialed is not valid, please try again.” Sounds pretty dodgy to me and makes me think it’s some sort of scam.

I got a call from this number and there was some weird recorded message with a mumbled name I barely understood. It said something about sales or marketing and told me to press 9 if I wanted to opt out. But I wouldn’t advise pressing anything because apparently, doing that just leads to more calls coming from abroad, not the UK. When I tried ringing 01273 987243 and 01273987244 back, I just got a message saying “The number you have dialled is not recognised. Please check and try again.” All this makes me think it’s probably a scam or some dodgy telemarketer.

When I mentioned we'd moved and asked what address they had, she just ended the call. Later, I searched online for Epsom Gutters using the number they called from but found nothing. Got a call just after 11am on 10 Nov 2021, someone saying they’re from “Bens Gutters,” asking if I wanted gutter cleaning since they were working locally. Weird thing is, they called from a Brighton number and I’m living out in Kent! When I asked where they got my contact details, they claimed my wife had previously asked for a quote. Checked with her right after and nope, she never did. So yeah, total lie. The bloke said they had her name, our phone and address saved. Honestly quite concerning. He sounded nice so I asked him politely to delete all our info as our number’s ex-directory. Already reported it to the TPS, but thinking about reporting to the police seems pointless.

Today at around 3.20pm (9/11/21), I got a call from a lady asking if I was Mrs (my partner's surname). I told her I wasn’t, and was about to explain that my partner and I don’t share the same last name, when I asked her who she was. Instead of answering, she sounded a bit annoyed, said “Oh, wrong number then,” and just hung up. It made me a bit uneasy as I wondered if the call was actually meant for him. Today, on the 8th of November 2021, I got a call from this number saying they planned to clean my neighbour's gutters on the 26th and could do mine too. I found it a bit suspicious since they knew my name and address, even though I’m ex-directory and not on the public electoral register. After a bit of thought, I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Later, I decided to ring back to ask where they’d got my info from, but it just went to an answering machine for some marketing firm!
