Sounds dodgy to me - someone said they were from HMRC and threatening legal steps because of something I was supposedly involved in. Definitely feels like a scam.

I didn't pick up but the phone kept ringing a few times throughout the day, usually about five rings then it would stop. Really odd!

i didnt pick up cause the number wasnt saved and just went ahead and blocked it straight away.

I received a rather strange phone call, purporting to be from an insurance firm about a Hotpoint washing machine at a specific address they mentioned. They had bits of my name and address accurate, but not entirely correct. I ended the call before I could unravel the scam they were trying to pull.
