I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, sounded like a robot but claimed he was from BT Security. The bloke said he was with “British security” or something similar. When I asked for his name, he didn’t hesitate and said it was Aron Shah. He insisted he was calling from BT’s London branch. The number he gave for me to ring back was 0127 393 0396.

I get daily calls from 01217900118, always some sort of automated message. Managed to grab their number 01273930396 and gave it a ring. They try to act like they’re from BT when you pick up. Whenever they ring, I like to waste their time for like 20 minutes or so. Honestly, it’s more funny than annoying. Watch out for these ones.

This number called me claiming to be BT, trying to get me to link my PC with them via some team-sharing software. They sounded super convincing and somehow knew my name and IP address. Their story was that my IP had been hacked from Nigeria and they needed to “fix” it by reconnecting me elsewhere. Luckily, I googled the number first and saw loads of scam reports. When I told them there were warnings about this number online, they just cut the call immediately. Dodged a bullet there!

we think this is the number linked to some scammers who just tried ripping us off. best to hang up right away and block it! got a recorded message claiming to be BT, saying our IP address was at risk. my husband didn’t really understand what an IP address meant and kept chatting with them. they sounded really convincing and believable. we’re not dumb by any means, but somehow they managed to trick us.
