I got a call from this number earlier, but the moment I answered, the line just went silent.

When I picked up, there was some loud background noise from the caller. They said something about my car being damaged, but the moment I told them I hadn’t had any accidents, they just ended the call. Not very polite at all. I’ve blocked the number now!

I got a call on Friday from some bloke pretending to be about a car crash. I just told him, “No way mate, that’s rubbish...” and cut him off straight away. Definitely a scam if you ask me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from "Motor Aid" - maybe Total Motor Aid? They kept going on about some laws saying I was owed money. I told them I worked for Aviva, my own insurer, and that I’d get my claims assessor to give them a ring back. But as soon as I said that, they just dropped the call. I really can’t stand these kind of calls.

Not sure who called, but I could hear a load of people chatting in the background like it was a call centre. After calling back three times and warning I'd block and report them, a bloke finally answered. When I told him they were the ones ringing me, he just called me a fibber and then slammed the phone down. Proper odd behaviour.

I got a call from some bloke saying it was about a car crash I was involved in - said it wasn’t my fault and that I might be owed some compensation. He sounded convincing, had all the details right. Then he asked when the accident happened and just hung up as soon as I started to reply. Bit odd if you ask me. Never heard of anything like that before and my insurance lot said they’ve got no clue about it. Blocked the number straight away!

I got a call from this number saying it was some legal firm called AMS legal. The person on the line mentioned an accident I had when someone hit my car from behind. Weirdly, he seemed to know loads about me and said there was some compensation waiting to be claimed. He told me he’d post me the paperwork to sort it all out. I didn't give him any info since he already had everything about me! Felt a bit odd to be honest.

I told him I’d never heard of it, and he said my wallet’d been found but that he was chucking it out the window because I’d been a muppet. Bit odd cos my wallet’s still right here in my pocket. Smells like some dodgy firm trying to scam me for insurance payouts.

Got a call on my mobile from these lot, and they were pressing for my wife by her first name. When I told them she wasn’t around, they just cut off without a word. Proper cheeky behaviour if you ask me! I had a look online afterwards and it looks like they were trying to scam me about some accident involving my missus. I've blocked the number now, no chance of me answering again.

Got a call from a blocked number, the person was asking for somebody who isn’t me. After I said I didn’t know them, they just hung up. Weird.

Got a call saying I was involved in a car crash in Suffolk and I was at fault. Told them I wasn’t and my insurer wanted them to ring me. Told them straight up “I don’t know your company, this sounds dodgy”. He kept going with his story but I just kept telling him he was talking rubbish. Eventually, he just put the phone down. Now the number is blocked.

I got a call saying I’d been involved in some crash in West Moors, which simply wasn’t true. They wanted my car registration... but if there really was an accident, surely they’d already have that info? I told them I’d call back on Friday, though there’s no way I’m going to do that. The bloke even mentioned sending me a cheque for the damage? Pretty obvious the next step would be them trying to get my bank details.

If the calls dont stop and you’ve got the number, you could always report it to the police for harassment. Also, hearing someone call you a c*** might count as another kind of comms offence, especially since it upset you.

Just got a phone call from this number claiming I was in some sort of crash, which is complete rubbish as I haven’t had any accident. I was at work and already annoyed because this is the second time in two days I’ve had this kind of nonsense, so I tried to cut him off early, saying “there’s been no accident, I’m fed up with these calls...” Next thing I know, he blurts out he’s “fed up with this job and having to deal with **** people like me,” before calling me some pretty nasty names!!! Is it alright for people to cold call while you’re working hard and start swearing and abusing you? I wasn’t even rude back! What can I do to report this or have these calls stopped? This really shouldn’t be acceptable.
