I received a call from this number today, but as soon as I answered, the line went completely silent.

When I picked up, there was some loud background noise from the caller. They said something about my car being damaged, but the moment I told them I hadn’t had any accidents, they just ended the call. Not very polite at all. I’ve blocked the number now!

Received a call on Friday from someone trying to peddle a car accident compensation spiel. I simply replied, ‘Oh come off it, mate, that’s nonsense,’ and then I cut the line before he could utter another word. Quite obviously a bunch of scammers!

Got a call from someone saying they were from "Motor Aid" - maybe Total Motor Aid? They kept going on about some laws saying I was owed money. I told them I worked for Aviva, my own insurer, and that I’d get my claims assessor to give them a ring back. But as soon as I said that, they just dropped the call. I really can’t stand these kind of calls.

Not sure who called, but I could hear a load of people chatting in the background like it was a call centre. After calling back three times and warning I'd block and report them, a bloke finally answered. When I told him they were the ones ringing me, he just called me a fibber and then slammed the phone down. Proper odd behaviour.

I got a call from some bloke saying it was about a car crash I was involved in - said it wasn’t my fault and that I might be owed some compensation. He sounded convincing, had all the details right. Then he asked when the accident happened and just hung up as soon as I started to reply. Bit odd if you ask me. Never heard of anything like that before and my insurance lot said they’ve got no clue about it. Blocked the number straight away!

I got a call from this number saying it was some legal firm called AMS legal. The person on the line mentioned an accident I had when someone hit my car from behind. Weirdly, he seemed to know loads about me and said there was some compensation waiting to be claimed. He told me he’d post me the paperwork to sort it all out. I didn't give him any info since he already had everything about me! Felt a bit odd to be honest.

I told him I’d never heard of it, and he said my wallet’d been found but that he was chucking it out the window because I’d been a muppet. Bit odd cos my wallet’s still right here in my pocket. Smells like some dodgy firm trying to scam me for insurance payouts.

Got a call on my mobile from these lot, and they were pressing for my wife by her first name. When I told them she wasn’t around, they just cut off without a word. Proper cheeky behaviour if you ask me! I had a look online afterwards and it looks like they were trying to scam me about some accident involving my missus. Got a call from a blocked number, the person was asking for somebody who isn’t me. After I said I didn’t know them, they just hung up. Weird.

Got a call saying I was involved in a car crash in Suffolk and I was at fault. Told them I wasn’t and my insurer wanted them to ring me. Told them straight up “I don’t know your company, this sounds dodgy”. He kept going with his story but I just kept telling him he was talking rubbish. Eventually, he just put the phone down. Now the number is blocked.

Received a call from someone claiming I’d been involved in an accident in West Moors... which is a bit absurd, as I wasn’t anywhere near it.
He proceeded to ask for my registration number, which made absolutely no sense - surely if I had indeed been in an accident, he’d already have that information?
I mentioned I’d get back to him on Friday... not that I plan to follow through with that.
Oh, and he had the audacity to say that he’d be sending a cheque to cover the supposed damages.
Clearly, the next step would have been for him to request my bank details, wouldn’t it?

I'm uncertain whether this would fall under additional communication offences, particularly since he insulted you by calling you a c***, which understandably would be quite upsetting.

I must share a rather unpleasant experience I had when I received a call from this number, claiming I was involved in an "accident" - which is, of course, far from the truth. I found myself exasperated as I was in the midst of work, and this was the second time in just two days that I’ve been harassed by similar calls. When I eventually interjected to clarify that I hadn’t been in an accident and expressed my frustration with these incessant calls, the caller shockingly retorted that he was fed up with this job and vocally insulted me! Is it right that individuals can ring you up out of the blue, just to hurl foul language and abuse while you're busy doing a legitimate job? I certainly don’t believe I should endure such insults when I hadn’t even been disrespectful to him. What are my options for lodging a complaint, or how can we work to have these numbers taken down?
