this number rang me earlier, and i could hear loads of noise in the background, like a busy office or call centre. someone did say something but i couldn’t quite tell if it was directed at me or someone else nearby. then they just ended the call suddenly. the voice sounded like it was from the UK.

Got a voicemail about some kind of message box being full, but the voice sounded odd, kinda Americanish or something. I had no clue what they meant, so I just ignored it. If they call again, I’m definitely reporting it to the cops.

I keep getting loads of calls from numbers ranging from 01273713048 up to 01273713055, even though my number’s ex-directory! Nobody ever speaks when I pick up, or sometimes there’s just silence. Seriously, don’t bother answering calls from these - they’re pointless. If these calls don’t stop soon, I’m going to have to report it to the police!

Got a call about my washing machine warranty supposedly running out soon, and they offered to renew it there and then on the phone. But when I looked into it, the warranty is actually valid until 2022. Seems like they're counting on folks believing their claims and handing over cash unnecessarily.

Total scam alert. Someone phoned asking for my other half, who wasn’t even around at the time. They then claimed the warranty on our washing machine was about to run out today. Thing is, the washing machine’s registered in my name, not my partner’s. Plus, it’s well over nine years old now, so definitely not covered anymore, and I cancelled the extended warranty ages ago. When I mentioned all that, she said she’d note it down and quickly ended the call.
