Got a call from someone claiming to be from "Domestic Appliances," asking if I was satisfied with my appliance insurance. I said I didn’t have any with them. He argued back, saying they’d been covering my stuff since the warranty ran out. I told him it sounded dodgy and asked him to stop bothering people. He kept insisting it wasn’t a scam and that he was just renewing my policy. When I asked where he got my details, he said from the manufacturers. Wouldn’t take no for an answer, quite pushy. I got a call from a lady with a strong accent claiming she was from the "warranty department" about insuring my washing machine. She insisted my warranty had run out and that my case was now with their team. She asked if my machine was still working fine!! It was obviously a scam since I don't have any insurance or warranty for it. When I tried to find out which company she was calling from, she just hung up on me abruptly, which was really rude. This kind of cheeky fraud needs to be stopped. Watch out folks!

Somebody said they're from Domestic and General, ringing about a policy on home appliances. I do have a policy with D&G, but not for the stuff they mentioned. They claimed I’d missed a renewal notice sent 9 days earlier, which I never got. I told them I don't talk about these things over the phone and asked them to post me the paperwork instead. The real D&G is based in Bedworth, Warwickshire, but this number traces back to Brighton. Seems like a total scam to me. Best to just ignore and hang up.
