Some bloke, claiming to be David Brown, rang me up trying to push a warranty for Sky gear I don't even own. I called him out and told him to get lost. Then he starts saying he’s recording the call and even accused me of hassling him! He mentioned he’d send me paperwork, so I told him I’d be showing it to Trading Standards. What a load of rubbish.

Some woman rang up claiming to be from Premier Connect or a similar company about discount rates. She said she wanted to renew the warranty on my fridge freezer and gave me quotes for 1, 2, or 3 years. I mentioned I thought I’d already cancelled it, but she kept going on anyway. I told her I needed to ask my husband first, and she said she’d phone me back. After looking through my documents, I found I’d actually cancelled the policy back in May 2018. Definitely a scam, don’t trust them!

The woman had that classic Indian accent, kind of like something out of a Peter Sellers film. I just mimicked her word for word, using the same accent. It totally throws them off every single time!
