He was keen on persuading me to extend my Sky insurance for a cool £100, and he even threw in an offer to cover my telly for an additional £189.99. When I mentioned that I actually worked for Sky and was involved in a project focusing on scam artists, I asked if he’d be willing to share his details to participate. Oddly enough, he cut the conversation short and hung up. When I mentioned that I haven't purchased anything from Currys, he quickly switched to referring to John Lewis. I told him to have another go at it. For starters, I’ve never signed up for any policy. Secondly, the washing machine I bought was from a local independent shop. In the end, I firmly directed him elsewhere and ended the call.
