Checked 1471 when I got back home and saw this number had called me while I was out most of the day. I had a feeling it was probably a dodgy scam.

They attempted to sell me a continuation warranty for our Hoover washing machine, which, by the way, we no longer even own! How absurd!

A genuine Asian lady called me, not a robot this time! She was pushing some sort of 'extended warranty' for a Hoover washing machine we don't even own. I got a ring from someone saying they were with Sky's Policy Protection team. They asked if I was having trouble with my equipment; I mentioned a problem with the red button. The guy said he'd send it over to their Tech dept. Then, outta nowhere, he said my policy ended on 20th Feb - I should've asked which year since I’ve never held a policy there. Asked him straight up what he was selling and he just said bye and hung up on me.
