Got a call from a bloke with a Yorkshire twang. I cut him off by saying I knew it was a dodgy call and, putting on my best Glaswegian tone, told him to jog on and leave me alone. Surprisingly, he did just that.

Got another call from these clowns today. They asked for me by my last name but totally butchered it. This woman claimed she was ringing from AA Assist about some accident I supposedly had (which I haven’t ever). I told her, “Yeah, that’s right. Got a call from this number, they pretended to be my wife just to get past call blockers. These leeches should really be controlled by the government and banned by phone providers, but they’re just making loads of cash so they don’t care about bothering regular folks. I recently received a phone call from this particular number, and the person on the line asserted that they were from Sky. However, the whole exchange felt a bit peculiar to me. It brought back memories of a similar incident I had about four or five years ago from Brighton. The chap was very articulate in his English, yet I detected a subtle Asian accent. Just now this number rang me, but as soon as I tapped the block button the call got cut off.

Every day, there are daily calls that disconnect as soon as the answering machine picks up the call.

Got calls from some "Auto Assist" lot claiming about a crash, had to block loads of their numbers. Proper pain in the neck. Bet the insurance lot or the DVLA are flogging our info again 😠😤

Got a call from someone saying her name was Iman, talking about a Sky Protection plan. Thing is, I don't even have Sky! She must've had my details somewhere - weird how they get that info.

Got a call for some Mr Forbes, which I’m not, and after telling them I’m sick of these calls for someone who doesn’t live here, they just said “oh, can I speak to you then?” I wasn’t very polite in telling them to buzz off!

Yesterday, I received a call from someone claiming to be with O2 Assist, stating that they were following up on my road traffic accident. However, I promptly informed the caller that I had not been involved in any accident. Interestingly, this individual had a noticeable foreign accent. I couldn't help but wonder how he was aware of my name.

Answered the phone and the moment I heard it, I just ended the call right away. It's blocked now.

About 15 minutes ago, I got a call from this number about a Sky TV box. When I asked the person calling for their number, they refused to give it, even though I told them my number is private and on the do-not-call list. Luckily, 1471 was able to show me the caller's number.

Someone called saying my boiler cover had expired, which is actually right since I never signed up for any in the first place.

Just got a missed call from 01273 030812, which I found out is from Brighton. I picked up my phone a bit late and the call had already ended by then. After looking this number up here, it seems likely they’re trying to chat about some accident that I’m not involved in at all. Actually, only yesterday I had a similar call from 01235003346. I told the woman on the line that I have no clue where they’re getting their info from, but it’s completely made up!
