Someone rang my mum’s phone asking for me, but used my Facebook name which isn’t my actual surname. They said they were checking up on a recent problem with my card, but I told them there wasn’t any issue and that this was my mum's phone. I warned them I’d report the number for pretending to be my bank, then they quickly hung up.

Just like everyone else here, I can’t help but think if the TPS actually checks this site to see the stuff they’re meant to be stopping! Honestly, the TPS feels like such a waste of our hard earned tax money. I’m planning to write to my MP soon, either to get them to do something or shut them down completely.

It's been under a week since I last received a call, and nobody seems to be picking up.

Just got a call from 01273030054 saying I was involved in a car crash in the last couple of weeks. I told them straight, "This is rubbish and I’m reporting you to the cops." Their response? "I don’t care, do what you want and see what comes of it." Now they’re being threatening, and no one’s stopping them??

Mate of mine picked up the phone the other day and when the person asked if he had been in an accident, he said, "Yeah, I was." The caller was caught off guard and asked what had happened, and he just said, "I died." The line went dead straight away!

They rang me saying I’d been in an accident, so I asked when it supposedly happened. They said sometime within the last two and a half years. Playing along since I know I’ve never had an accident, I then asked for the exact date, mentioning that as they already had my name and number, they should know when it took place. He then said he didn’t know the date. That’s when I told him I do compensation claims myself based on referrals and I’m not some low-life ambulance chaser like him. Then he just hung up ?? ?? ??

A polite chap from England rang me, mentioned my full name. He said it was about a small car crash I supposedly had. I told him I hadn’t been in any accident. Then he asked if someone else might have given my number, which I denied. He was polite and said sorry for disturbing me. BUT THIS IS ABOUT ACCIDENTS YOU'RE NOT INVOLVED IN.

If you happen to get a call from these folks, just know they’re all scammers. Best thing is to block the number straight away and then get rid of it. Don’t bother with them at all.

A very polite lady with a British accent called me saying she'd just got my details about a small car crash. I said, "This sounds like a scam, bye," and then blocked the number. Watch out, these lot are getting harder to spot nowadays.

01273 030054 rang me while I was out with my partner at the train station in EDINBURGH, a really deep voiced bloke saying I’d been in a car crash. As soon as I told him no, I hadn’t, they just hung up! Honestly, what losers with nothing better to do than waste people’s time. Total scam artists.

Someone rang looking for my missus. When I told them this isn’t her line, they started asking if I was involved in a small crash. I’ve not a clue about any accident and neither does my wife, she doesn’t drive at all. Proper nuisance and definitely sounds like a scam.
