Definitely not related to PPI. I received an automated call regarding a government initiative on boiler replacements for those receiving benefits. Following their instructions, I pressed 9 in an attempt to opt out, but I’m not overly optimistic it’ll work since I’ve tried this previously! Personally, I reckon it’s best to label these calls as ‘NO’ and append a letter, since you can't have the same name in the system - makes it easier for caller ID. If they ring again, I tend to hit 'answer' and then immediately tap 'end call'. I’m currently at ‘NO (H)’ for annoying calls. I apply the same method for 'international' and 'withheld' numbers, hoping they'll get the hint and stop bothering me! Oddly enough, I’ve noticed a reduction in those types of calls lately.

01269849933 Silent caller again. Why does it have to be so hard to put an end to these calls? It's clear that these lot are scum and target the old and vulnerable. There should be some proper punishment like jail time for them.

I received a rather peculiar call just now, with the person on the other end inquiring whether my washing machine was functioning properly. What on earth was that all about?

Got a recorded message about some new government plan for folks on benefits to get help with boilers. This number’s called me quite a few times already. I’ve now changed my BT service to include Call Protect, so this number is blocked for me. Also put it on the TPS list as an unwanted nuisance call.

Got a recorded message and pressed 5, now just waiting for someone to ring me back so I can tell them to stop harassing me, as I can't really respond to an automated voice. I tried asking a few questions but they just hung up without answering. If everyone did the same and asked for a call back, it might drain their time and cash. This one was about some re-roof scrap deal or something.

Got a call earlier today. Automated voice talking about a "New Green Deal Funding Scheme." They said it was a government supported offer. I'm on the TPS list, so they really shouldn't have rung me. Clearly, they didn't bother to check the TPS - dodgy callers for sure. These nuisance calls just keep happening without consequences. I've reported the number to the ICO to look into it. If more people did this, these pests would get caught and stopped quicker.

Got a ring from someone saying they were from Microsoft Windows support, typical scam trying to get me to log into my PC. Had a strong Indian accent. Then the same bloke rang from a different number starting with 008004. I pretended I was clueless about computers, kept him chatting for about 20 minutes the first time, hoping to waste his time so he wouldn’t pester someone more gullible. Now I'm 13 minutes in on his second call. Later he phoned from another number and when I asked about it, he said it was via Skype. The new number was 02032867465. Bet he thought I was an easy mark!

Honestly, these calls are such a nuisance, I’m sick of them constantly buzzing my phone. It’s always the same foreign voice, just like others have said. Now, I barely pick up anymore once I see the number pop up on my caller ID.

I received a phone call today from this particular number, with the caller asserting he was representing the local council and the NHS about a recent accident that wasn't my fault. He introduced himself as Peter Pinchpin, yet when I asked for a direct contact number, he failed to provide one, stating that the department was rather large. Interestingly, he had a pronounced Asian accent.

Received a call today from a chap named Michael claiming to be from London. He informed me that there was an issue with my computer and that he represented Microsoft. When I pointed out his unmistakably Asian accent, he switched his story and said he hailed from California instead. He ominously warned me that my computer and internet would cease functioning in thirty minutes. I promptly told him to clear off!

Got a call from 01269849933, some guy speaking with an Asian accent trying to tell me there's an issue with my computer. I just told him to do one and then passed the number on to Crimestoppers. Sounds dodgy to me, probably scammers. Watch out!

Phoned me at 09.17 this mornin. Same old story with my computer not updating, so I pressed Windows key and R. When he asked what popped up, I told him there was a message saying "Some dodgy b*****d from the Far East tryin to take over my PC". We ended up havin a long chat. I told him he should get an honest job instead of scamming folks. He replied, "Why you so mad at me? I'm just folllowin orders from my boss!" This could be real risky if they call someone who doesn’t know any better.

Some woman called up out of the blue, saying my computer was full of viruses and I had to let her mess around with it. Total rubbish - it was plain as day a scam.

They've rung me twice now, both times it was clear it was a call centre. A bloke with an Indian accent kept asking to speak to my son. After seeing what others have said here, I'm relieved I ended the call quickly and didn’t give out anything important.

They've been calling me a couple of times every day this week, and I already got one call today - I've stopped picking up but it's getting a bit irritating. Pretty sure it was them who rang me late last night around midnight and again at 2am. Every call has gone straight to my answering machine but there's just dead silence.

Every time they call, no one says a word. I'm getting really annoyed with it, they just ring up and then go quiet.

This morning at precisely 8:05, I received a call from an Asian gentleman who introduced himself as Peter. He was inquiring about my computer, to which I replied that I didn't own one. He then proceeded to unleash a volley of insults, calling me a deceitful so-and-so, before abruptly hanging up. How rude!

Got a call from someone saying they were 'Online support'. The typical 'there's an issue with your PC' rubbish. Totally a scam, but still very annoying.

Yet another call from them this afternoon, claiming they wanted to discuss my Windows computer. The thing is, I don’t even own one! I've blocked their number so many times, but they just keep on switching to new ones. It’s becoming quite the nuisance!

I received a call earlier today claiming there’s an issue with my computer. They accessed it remotely, and now I'm unable to connect to anything at all. Can someone assist me with this?

Some guy said he was from TalkTalk’s tech team, telling me my Internet was gonna be cut off for half a year. Kept asking if I had a laptop and said something got downloaded onto it. Felt fishy so I just put the phone down.

I missed a call at 8 in the morning and couldn't grab the phone in time. So, I did a quick check on 1471 to see who it was, as I'm registered with the directory. Interestingly, I’d already had four calls from them the previous day!

Got loads of calls from 01269849933, I pick up and say nothing, then they just hang up. This is really annoying, these bloody idiots! And what kind of privacy is TalkTalk even giving, claiming your number is ex-directory but clearly it’s not. Proper fed up now.

Got a call like this earlier today. I just answered and stayed silent the whole time. After a bit, the person - sounded Indian - gave up and hung up when they saw I wasn’t going to say anything.

Picked up the phone but no one said a word, then they just hung up. Also, I keep getting calls from numbers that’re always unavailable. They ring like 4 or 5 times each day. Thankfully, I have caller ID so I just don’t pick up. It’s really annoying.

I really wish people would just stop calling! Had another day bombarded with those Indian call agents, all pushy and annoying. Honestly, I’d rather have no calls at all than deal with that kind of hassle.

Got a call from some bloke claiming he's from TalkTalk, trying to chat about my broadband. I told him right off the bat that I don't have any broadband with that lot of scammers, luckily. Then I called him out for being a fraud and said he wasn't getting anywhere with me. Not long after, he hung up. Shocking, huh?

Got a call around 6 this evening, no one spoke then they just ended it. I rang back straight away to see who it was and got a recorded message saying the number couldn't be reached or wasn't in service. Really weird. This is the second odd call I've had today, and I thought my number was unlisted! What happened to proper help from BT?

This has got to be one of the most annoying scam calls I've had so far. The person claimed they’d give me a £20 Amazon, Tesco, or Nando’s voucher if I just answered a few questions for some company called Lifestyle UK. I kept saying “No thanks” at least seven times, but she just wouldn’t take the hint and kept going on like she didn’t even get what I was saying. Honestly, these sorts of calls should be stopped - I can easily see vulnerable people, especially older folks or those not in a good place, getting caught out by this nonsense.

COMLETE SCAM! Some bloke with an Indian accent said his name was Jack and claimed he was ringing from the Microsoft Windows Helpline. He told me there was a fault with my computer, but when I mentioned my husband’s an IT technician who sorts my PC, he got all defensive saying my husband must not be doing a proper job if my PC was acting up. When I said my computer was fine, he yelled, “How can it be fine with all these issues?” I just replied, “Your call is a scam, bye!” and hung up, leaving him grumbling at the other end.
