4 dayssomeone called stating they were needing to come and change our meter as our old one is giving incorrect readings and we are being billed higher than wwe should. Assumed they were our energy provider and when i asked them to confirm who they were, they said they were Alan and calling from national grid. I realised that it is a scam as National grid would not know what our supplier charges us, or what our meter readings are and they had no details re our address etc.. advised him i would speak to our energy provider and call him back. checked number on internet, found that this has been reported as a scam called back the number and asked for "Alan" he answered the phone anyway. told him i had spoken to our energy provider and they had reminded us that we had new meters a few months ago and that we dont need new meters as ours read automatically (I hadnt actually spoken to our energy provider) so to please not call us again in relation to this. i then disconnected the callAlanNational3 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were National Grid, called themselves Alan but the number showed Ali Hamza on my caller ID.
