Got an email late on a Friday from someone asking for my utility bill info, then they rang me on Saturday evening. They pretended we'd already chatted before, but that wasn’t true. They kept interrupting me and were proper rude. Then they put me onto their manager, who kept insisting they needed copies of my utility bills to give me a credit (even though they don’t supply my electricity). When I questioned why the email was from an @outlook.com address, they just ended the call. Total con artists. Checked with National Grid and they confirmed it’s a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the electricity company, said they needed to swap out the meter and take a reading. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.
