Received a call at the crack of dawn, masquerading as if they were from the local council. Their aim was clearly to fish for my personal details.

Got a call first thing this morning from someone claiming to be from the council, said they wanted to check if I’d had any repairs done or if I still needed anything fixed. The bloke sounded Irish. I told him I didn’t have any repairs pending. Anyone who actually lives in council housing knows it’s the council that handles repairs - unless they say otherwise. Stuff like decorating might be up to you, but repairs aren’t. Calls like this are defo scams, best to just ignore them. They’re just fishing for your personal info or to get you to cough up money.
