Got a robocall saying my Amazon Prime would automatically renew for £39.99, and if I wanted to cancel, to press 1. The voice sounded almost exactly like the one from the bank calls I get. Didn’t press anything but saved the number from 1471 and tried calling it back, but the number didn’t go through at all.

Just got a ring on my home phone from this number. When I picked up, a recorded lady with what sounded like an American accent told me to press 1 to renew my Amazon Prime membership. Problem is, I don’t even have Amazon Prime, so I’m certain it’s just another dodgy scam trying to catch people out.
