Like others have mentioned, I got a call and picked up thinking it was someone from my area code. As soon as I answered, the person at the other end just hung up. After reading through these comments, I get what’s going on now. They’re obviously trying to get you to ring back!

Was trying to find a Mrs Purcell. I told the caller no one with that name is at this number. They were quite persistent, mentioning they’d called about the same person just ten minutes earlier. Claimed they’d also phoned on 8th February but I reckon they were fibbing! I told them to sort their records out. Then they started rambling with some sales spiel. I just ended the call.
