They then asked why I was being so stubborn and why not just settle it then and there. They said I was locked into a 5-year contract with a couple of years still to go. Thing is, I've got no proof I've ever paid them anything annually, and their name sounds suspiciously like another firm I actually do have a policy with. Then they pushed for me to pay the so-called outstanding balance via bank transfer since I refused to give them my card details.
