I've come across a right dodgy character posing as TPS, claiming to need my banking info for some sort of renewal. Honestly, don’t take a single word they say at face value! The best course of action? Hang up immediately and make sure to block them. It’s the only sure-fire method to rid yourself of these chancers!

Got a call from someone with a strange foreign accent asking if they were speaking to Mrs (my surname). I didn’t say yes, instead I asked who it was a couple of times, then the line went dead. Total scam, these people are legit the worst!

Over the past two days, this number has rung us no less than ten times. Initially, they tried to chat about telephone preference stuff, but we quickly ended the call. Nowadays, we either let it ring through to voicemail or answer and stay silent. There has to be some way to put an end to this. Funny enough, just as I’m typing this, the phone’s ringing again. I’ve spotted a pattern too - calls often come around fifteen minutes past the hour. Seems a bit fishy, like it might be automated or something.

The woman on the phone somehow knew my name, where I live, and even that my bank card is due to expire this year! I told her straight away that they don’t need bank information for the telephone preference scheme and hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me.

Just got a call about five minutes ago, but it was really hard to understand because of the strong foreign accent, seemed like a call centre for sure. They claimed to be from Telephone Preference Management. Weirdly, they knew my address and postcode and then asked for my bank details to ‘verify’ me. I wasn’t having it and asked them for a contact number to call them back since I’m sure they shouldn’t need my banking info. Then, they actually read out my own landline number before hanging up on me. Strange experience!

Got a call from an Indian lady with pretty bad English claiming to be from TPS, which set off my alarm bells right away. She must've got my info from the phone directory or something. I refused to answer any personal questions and the moment I said I didn't want to explain how I pay my phone bill, she just cut me off. This number has buzzed my phone thrice today already. I just let it ring off. They actually phoned my 95-year-old mum. She settles her phone bill with cash, so they messed up by asking for her card info. Good job my mum knows what’s what!

I got loads of calls from 01264264004 around tea time tonight, saying they were updating my nuisance call preferences. They tried to get my card info, but they were quite sneaky about it. This morning I got a call from someone with a really English-sounding name, Jason I think. He was asking if I’d been getting any nuisance calls and said he was from something called Telephone Preference Management. I told him that organisation didn’t exist as far as I knew. When I asked what company they were with, they said something like 'Telephone Preference Service'. They said they were from West London, but when I queried why the caller ID showed an Andover number, they went silent. For anyone saying we should block 01264 and similar codes - you can't really do that since those are real areas where people live. Someone rang saying they were from "Telephone Preference Management," supposedly offering a service to block annoying calls for all UK numbers, which is a total lie.
