Got a call from someone with an Asian accent but totally mixed up the name they called out. They asked if I was related to the person they were after, I told them no and ended the call. Got a call about boiler insurance, and honestly, it was just like what others have said here - extremely pushy! After a bit of back and forth, I got connected to someone who claimed to be a “manager.” He couldn’t actually explain anything about the payment I supposedly made. Someone rang me and actually used my name, but when I said ‘hello’, they either didn’t catch it or acted like they didn’t. I had to shout ‘HELLO’ before they suddenly replied with ‘oooooohhhh’ and then dropped the call. Honestly, I haven’t got a clue who it was or what they were after.

Had a call from someone claiming to be Boiler Serve. Told them straight up I don't entertain scam calls before putting the phone down. I'm on the TPS and my number's ex-directory anyway. Most of my mates and family only use mobiles now, so if I get a call on my landline it’s usually a scam. Anyone legit trying to reach me would never ring that number, and these sort of calls definitely break the TPS rules.

I got a phonecall from a woman regarding my boiler service deal. She wanted to check if the boiler was running fine and asked for my name too. Then she said my payments were going down. I told her I don’t pay anything and she said sorry, probably a mistake in their system, then just ended the call. Seemed polite enough but I still reckon it was a scam.
