Got a call out of the blue from this number, with the person saying they were with Doors & Windows Ltd. I just ended the call straight away. I looked them up and found a legit company called Doors & Windows Ltd in Plymouth. So I’m puzzled why they’d ring me from a Banff number in Scotland? Plus, why would they bother driving 12 hours each way just to install stuff at my place? Feels a bit fishy if you ask me.

There's been a local energy consultant scam going about. I just put the phone down on them. It went quiet for a bit but suddenly I've been getting loads of calls from them over the past few days.

Woke up way too early because of one of their calls. They played that usual robot voice saying something like “Hello, this is Solar Power” and then just cut off. I’m gonna block the number right after I put in a report.

I didn’t get a voicemail from this number and it wasn’t one I knew, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it. Looks like a total scam to me. Even though I’m registered on the TPS, these calls still sneak past, which is really frustrating. I’ve decided to keep my phone on answerphone all the time now.

They asked for me by my old surname, so I told them there’s no one here with that name (which is true nowadays). He then started trying to figure out who I was. Picked up the phone and gave them my standard line about it being the NHS Blood and Transplant number, asked if they were offering a phone deal, obviously said no. Then this guy starts going on about my details being handed over to BT Investigations. I've blocked the number and reported it - honestly, everyone should do likewise to keep these scammers off our backs.
