Got a call from a number tagged as BLANDFORD. I simply refuse to pick up calls from any number that isn’t saved in my contacts. It's incredibly exasperating, what with having my own issues to deal with; the added stress isn't helpful at all, especially when you’ve got kids to think about. While this particular call wasn't urgent, I had to spend quite some time trying to ignore it. I've got a contact labelled Zzzy specifically for dodgy numbers, and I reckon you could just keep adding known scams to it. In short, I don’t entertain any unknown callers!

These lot just collect loads of your info, asking what seems like harmless stuff about your energy provider, insurance, papers you read, PIP and all that, then they sell it off to other firms who end up cold calling you non stop! I heard they got slapped with an £80,000 fine last November. Honestly, best to put in a proper complaint about these lot!

He claimed to be ringing from this firm called Verso. Decided to mess about a bit, told him the guy he was after had passed away and that I was the bloke’s solicitor. Even after that, he kept asking what papers I had been reading and how old I was. I kept saying I was right there looking at the body! Dunno if he was hard of hearing or just daft.

Said she had just three quick questions that’d only take 20 seconds. Every time she tried to ask something, I told her that wasn’t a question and threw one right back at her.
