I got a ring earlier from 01257752283, a woman called Hayley said she was with Safety and Crime Awareness. She told me there was some event happening nearby over the next couple of days. She kept asking loads of questions and when I sounded doubtful, she abruptly told me not to worry and hung up. Feels like she might have been attempting to set up a visit to my house!

Got a call from 01257 752283, some woman claiming to be part of a 'Safety Awareness Campaign' in my neighbourhood. She asked if I’d “maybe heard about it?” in this weird way. She offered some kind of special service so I wouldn’t have to dial 999, saying I could use their preferential treatment instead. She tried really hard to sound legit, and honestly, it did feel a bit official. But when I asked which company she was representing, she just hung up on me. Definitely a dodgy call.

Someone phoned me asking for personal info. I said I’d only give my details if they came round in person and showed some kind of official ID. They hung up straight away. They never said who they were or which company they worked for. Pretty sure it was a dodgy call. Since my number’s on the TPS list, there’s no way it was a genuine call.

This number rang me today but I didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise it on my caller ID, which thankfully I always have on. No message was left either. Since I’m on the TPS list, there’s no way this was a genuine call - I’m pretty sure it was just another scam trying its luck.

Got a call from a woman chatting about safety stuff. I just told her I'd ring 999 if anything was wrong, then she hung up. I've blocked the number since then.

I just got a ring from a woman claiming to be from the “Safety Awareness Campaign.” She mentioned they’re partnering with the local police because of a rise in break-ins around here - even knew my postcode. She said there’s someone who could visit me to chat about home security. I told her, "Would I really invite some random caller into my house to give me security tips?" and she ended the call straight away! Be careful folks and maybe have a word with older relatives to make sure they haven’t been caught out by these scammers - they can be pretty convincing.

Today I got a call from this number. The bloke said he was Mr Potts, some kind of area manager, and was talking about a house protection scheme linked to nuclear attack worries. He asked my husband to verify his name and if he was aware of the nuclear threat on the news. Then he just ended the call. We had another call like this one yesterday about house security, but we didn’t write down the number. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

So this bloke called Patrick rang me up going on about home security stuff - like what they offer if there's a fire, flood or a break-in, and how they'd set up a proper monitoring system. He wanted to pin down a time for a visit over the weekend. But things went quiet pretty quick when I told him we’ve already got local schemes looking after all that.

I usually let my answering machine handle unknown calls. This lady calling herself ‘Victoria’ asked if she was speaking to Mr or Mrs, then dropped our family name and started saying things like I’ve heard in other comments here. I asked her where she got my number and names from since I’m on the TPS list, and she claimed it showed up on her screen. That was enough for me, so I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be local, saying they had free security gadgets to offer. I told them I was working from home, same with my husband, and they just hung up. Kinda makes me wonder if they’re checking for houses that’re empty or something. I’m on the TPS list, but that didn’t stop them at all. The woman sounded really convincing though.

I received a rather unexpected phone call from a gentleman who actually mentioned my name straight off the bat. Naturally, I was a bit taken aback, so I inquired about who he was. He claimed to be the local organiser for a security awareness initiative and mentioned that, due to some recent break-ins in my neighbourhood, I was eligible for a complimentary alarm system that would link up directly to the police. I decided not to continue the conversation and hung up.

They'll nab your info and set up phone contracts using your name without you knowing. Then, they ring you up all polite-like, and when you say you didn’t order the phone, they hand you a returns address. Problem is, they’re just after the phones, not the return. Proper scam.
